Soccer

Avery had a make up soccer this afternoon due to all the rain we've had recently. It was a beautiful day, too! He scored one goal last week, none today, but was in all the action.

where did this beautiful girl come from and how did she get so big?

The little man sat in the stroller the whole game and ate snacks. Otherwise, he runs out on the field and I have to constantly chase him.

U2 Picture

One picture we got off of Aaron's phone of the stage right before the concert...

Very cool!

U2 or Bust

Biggest concert we've ever been too. We forgot our camera. Took a few shots with Aaron's phone, but nothing great. Saw Michael W. Smith outside the doors. Chit-chatted for a few minutes.

Crazy man, Paul, sitting to my left throughout the entire concert, drinking, smoking pot, offering to us, passing it all around, dancing all around, bumping us, singing very loudly, telling us his life story. Our new best friend...
Sitting in the parking lot of the Georgia Dome for over an hour waiting to leave, grid-locked traffic. Finally creeping to the interstate to drive 4 hours home at 12:00 midnight already. Getting to the interstate and the van not driving more than 50 miles an hour, transmission slipping. Stopped at a gas station, filled up with transmission fluid, said a prayer, and drove home. Me saying, "well, at least it's not raining. It was suppose to pour tonight".
30 minutes later: rain, pouring down, monsoon, water all over the interstate, driving 30 miles an hour.
Pull into the driveway at 4:07 am. Sleep for 3 hours.
Good times. Good memories. Best concert I've ever been too!

Summer Rewind

Catching up on some pictures from summer.

Abi's ballet recital:
Abi doing jazz..

Abi doing ballet...

Abi tapping with some friends...

after the show, with flowers!

We played outside a lot, swimming in our little pool and spent lots of time at the rec center pool!

We spent most of our summer at the t-ball fields. This little man spent most of his time in the stroller. He loves ball, though, and we can hardly wait for his turn...

Abi (with the wide stance) fielded several balls this year and made some outs!

Nana, Papa, and Teresa sit and watch Abi and Emma play ball...

Coach Aaron! He ended up coaching both teams, but we had a blast!

Avery and Reagan getting their trophies...

What a fun, busy summer.

Cheetah Fest

Tonight was Cheetah Fest at Abi's school, Chapman's Retreat. The kids had a blast and the rain held off for several hours so we could play. Nana and Papa came to play with us too.

and the highlight of the night... the pony ride...you should have seen the grins on their faces...

Avery's Birthday

Well, now that the cleaning is done, the painting is done, the house is finally on the market, I can finally get to blogging again. Thanks to all my six viewers for waiting patiently!

Avery had a smelly, sweaty, silly, stinky, boys only birthday party. No girls allowed and that included mama too! Here are some pics that Aaron took. Props to Aaron for running the party with 10 4-5 year olds. They had a blast and he still talks about it!

playing outside, racing, playing some baseball...

opening presents...

cupcakes with cars...easy!

some silly pictures for the scrapbook...

All made for a great boys only party! Happy 4th birthday, Avery!
